July 2008 Interview: Dr. Anne V. Adams

Introduction

Dr. Anne Adams is the director of the WEB Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture in Ghana. She has spent over a quarter century in the classroom, as a professor of African Literature and the Director of Women’s Studies at Cornell University, and later as a visiting professor at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is now a permanent resident of Ghana, where I contacted her for interview about the connections between Ghanian and African American music, history and culture.
