For newcomers to Blackademics.org, please don’t let the previous two post titles fool you. We do engage in meaningful, intellectual debate here. The ridiculousness has just been overwhelming in the past several days. Nigger Brown - no, it’s not the title of a new play from Tyler Perry. Nigger Brown is the color of Doris Moore’s couch.
Moore’s 7-year-old daughter, Olivia, was the first to notice the labeling on the chocolate colored sofa set. Somehow, it was overlooked by the Vanaik Furniture and Mattress Store, their supplier Cosmos Furniture, and the Chinese-based manufacturer.
