25 reasons being black ain’t easy
This Tuesday, BET aired a program called, “Top 25 Events that (Mis)Shaped Black America“. It was a nice blend of comedy and serious social commentary, hosted by one of our up-coming Blackademics interviewees Paul Mooney. An encore broadcast will air on BET this Friday, Feb. 23rd at 10pm. For those of you who have not yet seen it, don’t worry - I won’t give away the list. But I will offer a critique: that BET itself was not counted among the top 25.
