“I AM African” Campaign

After stumbling upon an image of Gwyneth Paltrow with war paint on her face and the words “I am African” written beneath, further explanation was needed. Well its not just a sick joke, the image was a part of a greater campaign entitled “Keep A Child Alive“. The initiative is working to promote awareness about the availability of AIDS treatment within African nations.

africanKeep A Child Alive is dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment to children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world by directly engaging the global public in the fight against AIDS.

It looks to be an impressive initiative with Alicia Keys as ambassador and Lenny Kravitz, Seal, Richard Gere, Iman, Gwenyth Paltrow and more lending their services to the visual campaign. Check it out.
